Conflicts of Interest

Conflicts of interest are a recipe for “burnout” or “compassion fatigue” in medicine. Many patients and physicians might not immediately respond to the “why did you go the DPC route” question by stating that their goal was to minimize conflicts of interest, but I would argue that this is the most common explanation for the growth of the model across the United States. I am thankful to Lee Gross, MD and others at the Docs 4 Patient Care Foundation for giving me the opportunity to speak on this topic in Orlando on March 16, 2024. Fortunately the CME discussion was recorded. If you have 45 minutes to spare please give it a listen and feel free to let me know what you think in the comments below.
